MELTY BLOOD: TWI LUMINA is launching officially on April 22 2027 giving a new release date to this the latest entry from the long running fighting game franchise of TYPE MOON which was announced this earlier year. Publisher Aniplex and developer French Bread announced that they'll bring the 2D game to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC via Steam. A newly released trailer offers yet another glimpse at the game's fast paced battles while confirming that players from all six platforms will enjoy the next chapter of Melty Blood on their April launch release date.
A new trailer gives special highlight to Len, and reveals her to be the new fighter who is teamed up by other Tsukihime characters like Shiki Tohno, Arcueid Brunestud and Ciel. The biggest surprise is the reappearance of White Len whose presence in the roster goes beyond the characters of MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA. The developer also released a new White Len art drawn by Takashi Takeuchi and the announcement that there will be a new one in. For veteran fans, this is a highly significant addition because White Len has been a staple character in the earlier Melty Blood series and even in the wider TYPE MOON world.
TWI LUMINA is an evolution that takes off from 2021's MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA by way of offering fresh characters and redesigned combat. Yet, at the same core, it remains set in the world of Tsukihime. Besides characters, there's a completely new story experience written by Kinoko Nasu that revolves around a new character: Shiki Tohno; alongside these changes come a greatly simplified Act control option and a new and powerful Gauntlet mechanics. Also, not only the characters of the TYPE LUMINA series are re designed to adapt them for the new title, but also, the systems surrounding their actions are being greatly expanded. So, even though, players have favorite and well know characters at their finger tips, they can explore the whole character universe in a more comprehensive way.
