Nintendo is releasing Nintendo Switch Sports Resort only on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22. The latest version of the motion-controlled sports game series will be set on Wuhu Island and features a total of 12 sports, each of which will make use of the Joy-Con 2 controllers in some way or other.

Returning events consist of tennis bowling volleyball, basketball golf boxing, Ping Pong and archery. There are a few new sports being added by Nintendo, with skateboarding, thumb wrestling, power cruising and prop plane. In skateboarding, players will be able to use the Joy-Con 2 mouse function and in other events the controllers will act as tennis rackets or handle bars.
Many sporting events to enjoy beyond the game Wuhu Island is open for players to explore, full of hidden hibiscus flowers to find, Spocco Photos to collect, dolphins to chase, sightseeing spots to discover, and more. A new offline Island Crown mode is also available, where you can climb the ranks of each sport and take on Island Champions and Island Legends.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will let up to four players on a single system play locally and 16 players online in supported game modes. And, Nintendo will release a Switch 2 bundle, which includes the game and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership, making it one of the company's flagship family titles for the holiday season.
