Following their recent Gamescom 2026 show, SEGA have officially added Germany to Crazy Taxi: World Tour as one of the top international locations to discover. With that revelation, they have not only shown fans a glimpse of where Germany fits in the wider international map of the new title but also the whole new level of Crazy Taxi franchise is introduced beyond just the city streets. The Germany map one of the five international maps planned for the next game combines a network of winding country roads, scenic countryside views, familiar regional landmarks and fast-paced city roads. This level will give players another chance to execute the Crazy Moves they have used in previous games like a Crazy Dash and a Crazy Stop and the introduction of new Crazy Drift and Nitro Boost will offer them more choices when linking together daring driving stunts.

SEGA Corporation is developing and publishing the new Driving Action game "World Tour" where player takes on the role of Axel a driver from a taxi company who gets into a lot of international troubles, after thieves steal Axel's taxi. To get his taxi back, he has to travel the world. Gameplay has changed compared to its predecessors as now it's not just fun arcade races through a city anymore but there is a complete story that ties together all the different races. World Tour also demonstrates the concept of going around the globe by introducing locations in Germany such as quaint village, beautiful countryside, winding city streets, and famous logos and landmarks that blend into the game environment.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour which is going to hit the market as a 2027 release will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Xbox on PC), Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. And releasing it on a range of new platforms, Sega has announced the introduction of online multiplayer for the franchise. Their closed test network in September will have the Pickup Race and Cops 'n' Cabbies multiplayer modes, with other elements like multiple cars, playable drivers as well as customization opportunities. Participants of the test will be on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam, whereas those of the full launch will be joining in on the Nintendo switch 2 platform.
With the Gamescom 2026 Germany demo, the way SEGA is refreshing Crazy Taxi is clear - while they are keeping the fast and furious arcade driving and over-the-top fun, they aren't changing that at all. The new locations around Europe, challenges that push driving to its limits, a story mode alongside competitive multiplayer and the great music that's been featured in previous games all combine to make World Tour way grander in scale than its two predecessors. Since Germany is finally a tangible part of the worldwide picture, it has become pretty clear that, with a good team of localizers, the game developers have been able to produce a game of such an impressive worldwide level. In other words, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, as a sequel to one of SEGA's oldest and best-known arcade franchises, will be an important comeback in 2027.
