First Look at the Grand Theft Auto VI Limited-Edition DualSense Wireless Controllers

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Rockstar Games have jointly announced the first peek of the Grand Theft Auto VI Limited-Edition DualSense Wireless Controllers. These two highly customised controllers that are unique to the Grand Theft Auto series have been released to celebrate the legendary series in the weeks leading up to the game's debut on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. Both controllers are distinguished by two very different colors: an iridescent black one that really glows in the dark and a pristine white one that you might even forget that it is a controller! Also, there is the logo of the new Grand Theft Auto VI placed on both of the controllers and stylized palm trees that are a tribute to the sun-soaked streets of Vice City, a part of a long tradition that started with Grand Theft Auto III in 1996. This unveiling of the new hardware is definitely the latest step in that very long collaboration between Sony and Rockstar Games through which the two giants of the gaming industry, not only share the development and support of different versions of PlayStation consoles, but also have made PlayStation 5 the primary platform for their flagship game titles like the next Grand Theft Auto series release onNovember 19, 2026.

The limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers come in iridescent black and white colorways, each featuring the game's iconic palm-tree logo.

These limited-edition controller designs go well beyond mere brandings; they contain small beach-themed elements and shiny finishes of a variety that will change based on the light source, reminiscent of the neon glow Leonida which players are going to explore in Grand Theft Auto VI. Each controller comes with the whole set of DualSense innovations that have been highlighted by Sony for PlayStation 5 such as haptic feedback which varies in strength given the choices players make in the game and the environment, adaptive triggers that allow one's resistance to vary when fighting and racing with vehicles etc. and an inside out speaker which enriches players' immersion in the key moments of the story where the main characters are Jason and Lucia. Rockstar Games has carefully adjusted all these functions so that every pursuit, confrontation, and the silent time along the Vice City seaboard is something the player literally can take into his hands.

The limited-edition DualSense Wireless Controllers themed around GTA VI pre-orders will be available for purchase on September 10, 2026. They will sell for $84.99 USD, so even though the cost is a little high, these items can still considered as a collector's piece for franchise fans. Besides that, the controllers will appear together with the regular and Ultimate editions of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, allowing PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro users to have a matching setup for one of the most talked-about gaming titles. Sony Interactive has stated that they will not only sell the items in the PlayStation Store but also through a number of retail partners. Given the huge worldwide demand for any content related to Grand Theft Auto VI, it is suggested very strongly that anyone interested in getting one of these items should place their order as soon as possible to be assured availability.

Beyond their visual appeal, these controllers underscore the technical advantages that the PlayStation 5 platform offers for Grand Theft Auto VI, including near-instant load times powered by the console's ultra-high-speed SSD and immersive Tempest 3D Audio that brings Leonida's distinct soundscape to life. The collaboration between Rockstar Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment continues to highlight why the PlayStation 5 version is being marketed as the definitive way to experience the game, with PS5 Pro owners receiving additional enhanced performance benefits on top of the base console's features. As the November 19 release date draws closer and Gamescom 2026 builds anticipation across the industry, these limited-edition DualSense controllers serve as both a functional piece of gaming hardware and a symbolic statement that Grand Theft Auto VI is finally ready to define a new generation of play.
