Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now part of Xbox Game Pass as of September 8. The title is one of the popular offerings in the Call of Duty series that you can now play via Microsoft's subscription service if you're a Game Pass member. Available on all Xbox consoles, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming for Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Ultimate, and PC Game Pass members, this title is one of the games joining the Microsoft's September 2026 Xbox Game Pass List.
Black Ops Cold War is a video game developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision. This game acts as a direct continuation of the game Call of Duty: Black Ops. The main plot of this game takes place during the Cold War with the mission to track down Perseus, a very elusive Soviet spy. Some of the famous Black Ops characters such as Frank Woods, Alex Mason, and Jason Hudson show up during this mission at East Berlin Vietnam Turkey, and the Soviet KGB headquarter.
Besides the campaign, Black OPs Cold War brings a full version of Multiplayer and Zombies via Xbox Gaming Pass. Some of the features that Xbox version adds on top are cross play multiplayer with PC/Playstation players and the co op play mode, 4K Ultra HD HDR10 the ability to save game cloud (Xbox cloud saves), play split screen on Xbox, and of course Xbox achievements! The Zombies feature is another great draw, the game is designed as a cooperative multiplayer mode. Because of this, it will be a great team based challenge where players have to face different waves of zombies. Meanwhile, in the normal multiplayer mode the players will enjoy shooting at each other in an environment similar to that of Call of Duty.
